We are excited to announce the new Mama Bears Giving Circle 2025 Fall Grant Round winners!
 

Each of the following LBGTQ+ focused nonprofits will receive funding from the Mama Bears Giving Circle to continue their amazing work.
 

Future Perfect Project - The grant will be used for free In-Person Creative Workshops for LGBTQ+ Youth. Future Perfect Project collaborates with theaters, LGBTQ+ centers, and schools across the United States to bring transformative, queer-centered creative writing, songwriting, and theater-making workshops to LGBTQ+ youth. The in-person week long programs are specifically designed for communities where access to the arts is scarce and where safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth are limited or nonexistent.

Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network Inc. (JASMYN) - The grant will be used to support the Mental Health Enhancement Program (MHEP) designed to address the growing mental health needs of LGBTQ+ youth aged 13-29 in Jacksonville. MHEP focuses on reducing social isolation, combating mental health stigma, and addressing stressors exacerbated by societal discrimination, the digital landscape, and the lingering eLects of the pandemic. The program provides therapeutic sessions, support groups, and a mental health drop-in program while prioritizing connections between housing-insecure young adults and mental health services.

Diversity Collective Ventura County - The grant will be used to support the Little Unicorns and Rainbow Umbrella programs. The Little Unicorns is for young LGBTQ+, questioning, and allies ages 9-12. In person meetings are held once a month and consist of talking about relevant issues and supporting each other in a safe, healthy and relaxed atmosphere. The Rainbow Umbrella program is a support group for individuals who are 13-23, identify as LGBTQQIAP2+ or discovering/questioning their identities. Weekly in person meetings are held and include activities and check-ins designed to give youth tools to support their overall mental health.

Free Mom Hugs - The grant will be used to implement the Free Mom Hugs Leadership Summit and Training Program designed to equip volunteers, chapter leaders, and families with the educational tools and knowledge to foster LGBTQIA+ acceptance at the grassroots level. Rooted in education, advocacy, and connection the Free Mom Hugs Leadership Summit and Training Program will be organized in 4 regions across the country and open to the public. Initiatives will provide hands-on training, impactful discussions, dynamic workshops and practical educational sessions designed to empower volunteers for local advocacy efforts. Participants will leave with the knowledge and skills to lead advocacy efforts in local and rural areas that are often underserved when it comes to the LGBTQIA+ community.
